Reading mode and dark appearance

Currenty, if you have dark appearance (but night mode off), turning on reading mode makes everything dark like if you had the night mode on. This is a bit annoying, as you have to go to settings and turn appearance to light if you don't want the page in night mode, and it essentially makes the night mode button useless and serve no purpose in reading mode.
