Very slow switching from tab to tab

Switching from tab to tab takes up to 2 seconds. I just updated to latest version 72.0.3815.400, but to no avail.

Any advice? Thanks! (using win10, x64)

Thank you leocg. I tried everything on your link. It didn't fix it, but somehow, I just found out the private mode doesn't have the problem. So I guess I will just use private mode for now.

@doritos2 If it works in a private window then it usually means a problem with some extension or a broken profile.

For extensions, I am using avast online security and ublock origin. Are there better extensions more compatible with opera that I can replace these with?
Also, what is a broken profile? And How can I fix it?

@doritos2 If you really did everything on the instructions, then you already checked with all extensions disabled and nothing changed and also checked with a clean profile directory and got the same results.
Is that correct?

Did you try a reset of Opera's settings?

Leocg, sorry for late reply. I did everything (disable extension, reset settings to default, update) but to no avail. i have yet to check the clean profile directory. I will have to figure how to do that. Will keep you updated. Thank you again!

Hi Leocg, I still cant create new profile. I went into explorer folder 'Opera stable' as per your link, but which folder do I 'rename' and rename to what?

Also, is ublock origin and avast security online extensions compatible to use with opera? If you have better suggestions, please advise.

@doritos2 Ublock Origin is in Opera's addons store so I guess the answer is yes.

Don't know about Avast but you can check there or with them.
