Does opera supports screen recording webpages

When I came to opera, the first thing I noticed missing is a feature to record screen/tab. As a student and on the times of corona, its important for me to record some of my online classes. As a user of chromium browser I had extension which made it possible for me to do that but in opera I didn't saw any extension or inbuild support for it. Its not a opera specific problem, I noticed that it is also missing in many other non-chromium browsers.

@alokdebnath As far as I know, Opera doesn't have such feature. However, if you have a Chrome extension that does that, you can try using it in Opera.

Actually I have tried to use the same extension by directly downloading from the chrome store, but it somehow detects that its not chrome and disables that feature. This is the extension

@alokdebnath You need to install the Install Chrome Extensions extension.

@leocg Yes I already have it but it wont work for the extensions which uses some APIs and if those aren't available build into the browser then they don't work. Unfortunately Opera seems to be lacking the support for an recorder. Is there any way I could suggest it to the Opera team.

If you want to do a screen recording of webpages, you can use any Opera screen recording extension.
Please try the below-mentioned extensions; however, you can also use screen recorder software.

• Video Recorder extension
  Desktop Screen Record extension

@naheed Tried, but unfortunately they wont work. And many opera extensions seems outdated including which are made by Opera. I wonder if Opera is made with chromium then why don't it support many chromium features.

Try Loom, it is workable and I hope it will solve your problem.
I will check and will let you know if I found any updated workable extension.

I have a similar problem, I use the xbox game bar to record my online classes but I recently migrated from chrome and I noticed that even when I allow audio on permissions while using opera I can't get any audio on record, does anyone know what to do?

Hey is it possible to use chrome extension in Opera how can I use chrome extension?
