In Chrome, goto the URL
chrome://settings/passwords
, click the 3 vertical dots to the right of "Saved passwords", and export your passwords to a CSV file.In Opera, goto the URL
opera://flags/#PasswordImport
, enable the import flag, restart Opera, goto the URLopera://settings/passwords
, click the 3 vertical dots to the right of "Saved passwords" and choose to import the csv file you generated with Chrome. -

Until Opera comes into line with other browsers, I will give it a miss.
Fiddling about with various commends and creating a CSV file on Chrome is simply not worth the effort when Chrome and Edge are superb browsers with no problems whatsoever. -

First, in chrome settings, go to export passwords, then you can import passwords in two ways:
Go to the URL opera://settings/import data and import your passwords from Chrome. While importing passwords, make sure that the Chrome is closed.
You can also import the CSV file; in Opera://settings/passwords, the "import" option will be available. -

@johnbull44 There is no space between import and data, it should be opera://settings/importData
Anyway, you should try importing passwords in opera://settings/passwords

If I use Settings import passwords, It only acts a split second, says DONE and has done nothing.

@johnbull44 Any difference if you import through opera://settings/passwords?
Can you import the passwords in other Chromium based browsers?

I have tried to import passwords to Opera using all kinds of methods but they all fail.
No problem importing passwords to my other browsers.
I do not favour fiddling about with importing a CSV file. Not worth the effort. -

Got It !
I enabled the import passwords in Opera flags - clicked the 3 dots against passwords - import - a panel came up showing my files - clicked the CSV file - Chrome passwords which I had exported and saved from Chrome and all my passwords came up in Opera !!
Problem sorted and thank you so much for your help.
