@lisette11 Go to Opera settings > Passwords > Saved passwords, tap the icon that looks like an eye next to the password you want to view. Authenticate with your lock screen PIN, pattern or fingerprint, etc when prompted to view your password.

If you go to the Autofill section in Opera settings and click on "Show Password" you can see your saved passwords.

Do you have a screen lock (PIN, pattern, etc.) set up? That might be a requirement for seeing passwords.
Also, are you on a current version of Opera for Android? My Opera app updated to version 60.2 today and viewing passwords is available. It was also available in the previous version I had although I don't know what version number it had.

@lisette11 a pattern screen lock is no more effort than a swipe and hardly anymore than no lock at all.
Unless you live in a very well secured home and never go out, having no security on your phone seems pretty risky, especially if you are storing logins to your financial institutions on it or use SMS 2FA.
