Getting familiar with Opera, and poking around to see which of its many features would be of value to me. Came across Settings>Advanced>Autofill>Passwords which appears to keep a list of all USR IDs and associated PWDs for the many web pages I access. Is there an action on my part (like "Remember Me") that triggers the recording of this info, or does it happen automatically whenever I enter a PWD? Looks like anyone with access to my Opera can see all of these private info. Very unsafe!

Only a few of these websites actually require pwd protection (imho). For these sites I'd like to have the convenience of Opera management (auto logon to sites). I will remove the few sites that really need to be pwd protected (financial, medical, utilities, etc) and manage these manually. For these Opera can supply the USR name, but will not know the PWD.

Any of this make sense (I may be way off on how this works)? How to implement? Suggestions.

@gp123 When you login to a page for the first time, Opera asks if you want to save the login info (username and password) or not. If you click Yes, then Opera will save them.

@gp123 Your saved passwords are encrypted using your OS login credentials. So, to see the stored passwords the person needs to know your OS password.

Thanks - I did not know this. Thought that because I was able to see my pwds anyone else could see them as well.

Feeling better about all of this.
