Cannot save http passwords

It used to work in Opera 12 but not with chrome opera.

You can see there is no option to save password.

So after you have logged in, Opera doesn't ask you if you want to save the password?

And it happens on all pages? I know it may not work on some pages.

It just doesnt ask for password on any http passwords, try to login into your router.

Yes, that affects all webapplications running on devices or routers.

New Opera (and Chromium) has a problem with saving/retriving passwords using server authentication.

That is a bug reported by me to Opera bugtracker more than a year ago. Bug DNA-7933

There are several reasons why browsers remember some passwords and not others. There's a discussion here:

Unless you see a patch note that says the bug is fixed its a safe bet that the bug is not fixed.
