      Hi.
I want to move to 64bit.
Will Opera upgrade my 32bit installation automatically or install separately?
Will all my Browser Data be safe and transferred? Also to a possible 2nd installation?

It would be fine if one could choose this upgrade automatically from inside the Opera Browser and not manually.
      thx

Hi @cratte, safely is to simply install the 64bit version, and then uninstall 32bit one - important is to uncheck removing user data during the uninstall process, but before that, just make sure to backup your current profile folder just in case something goes wrong, so you can restore it from the backup.
After that, the new version should use your old profile (in default location).

On the "2nd install", if it's on the same account under Windows, then you should be fine installing Opera, and copying the profile folder from the current folder to the different one (which you can choose during installation process).
If it's another user account on Windows, so you will not be able to use your passwords stored in the current profile, because it's tied/secured with it. Also, the Speed Dial items will be placed in a subfolder under "Other Speed Dials".
However you can use Opera's sync to simply synchronize your data (also passwords if you use it in old profile) with a new profile.

          @l33t4opera

          Opera-Backup ?
          Which folder?
This one is over 2 Gigs big:
          C:\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable
          Big Folders:
1 GB Service Worker (Biggest: pinterest) o_O
          500 MB Extensions
          229 Jump List IconsOld
          216 .
          100 Local Extension Settings
          60 Indexed DB
          50 Local Storage
          ...

Isnt there a program for backup support?
I wish this would be managed by Opera.

@cratte I mean the profile folder for your current Opera - you can find the path to it in opera:about > Paths > Profile.
Yes, you can skip (don't copy it) the "Service Worker subfolder. The "Extensions" should not take so much space - perhaps there's some caching data and/or temporary files that are not so important.

Additionally, please read the information from the link provided by @leocg, and see if there's something important for you to have it in new installation (read description sections).
