Hello I'm new here! I want to know how safe is Opera password Manager? since it has even my Bitwarden Master Password. And will there be any 2FA via Email option for the Opera Accounts? Since I do not use any 2FA Applications.

      Thanks!
      Regards.

@LoneWolf20 I've never heard of a 2FA code being sent by email. Seems very insecure to me.
You get your code in your phone, either through SMS or by using an authentication app. I've read some people saying that the last method is more secure.

@leocg Yeah! Actually Popular Password Managers like Bitwarden also has 2FA code via email. (Though they've other secure options too, whichever you choose). 2FA via SMS would be great too if you guys can add that option. Currently Opera has 2FA via Authentication App only.

@LoneWolf20 I guess it would be to costly and not very secure to implement those options but, who knows? Maybe they will add them at some point.

@leocg Regarding my first question. How safely the passwords are stored in my device? Will someone be able to hijack the data without accessing the browser in my phone or desktop?

@LoneWolf20 Saved passwords are encrypted using your OS login credentials. They can't be used in another computer or even by another user in the same computer.
