A booking.com bookmark just appeared on my speed dial. I have never been to this site. This also happens on my phone. Why? I do not like this and think it's completely unacceptable to push in these sort of advertisements.

@dsalfjkdsal You can disable promoted speed dials in settings.

@leocg That's really annoying that it's even an option. How do I disable from the Opera app? I really don't like being tricked like this and makes me not want to use the program.

@dsalfjkdsal Go to the settings page and disable the option to receive promoted speed dials and bookmarks.

@dsalfjkdsal Opera Touch? Opera for Android? Anyway, I don't think they have such option.

@leocg Opera for Android. I would have thought they would be similar cross platform. I find the bookmarks very intrusive and enough to make me switch to Brave.

Okay, so I turned it off and today I have World of Warships, Kayak and Disney +. Not impressed. Happens one more time I'm removing Opera and using Brave. I have no problem paying for services, but I do not appreciate having advertisements shoved in like this.

I also discovered a booking.com bookmark in my speed dial today (running Opera on Mac) and would like to add my voice to the disapproval of this kind of practice. That's really unacceptable but also just weird!
Lately I've been considering switching to Firefox and things like this are a good motivation to stop using Opera.
