Why are CNN videos so dark/contrasty on Opera but not other Chrome based browsers?

I've compared with Google Chrome and Iron and neither exhibit this behavior.

@helloyou2016 Now you need to change Opera's user agent - you can use an extension for that - to check if it's not a site thing.

@leocg I don't understand what this is supposed to do. Does it offer settings for video playback? The rest of the page displays normally. Just the video is the problem. There are many user agents here: https://addons.opera.com/en/search/?query=user+agent
I have no idea what I'm looking for.

@helloyou2016 The idea is to try checking if the videos naturally are more dark in Opera or if the sites are deliberating doing it with Opera.
Changing the user agent, you make the site thing that you are accessing using a different browser.

Also check in Vivaldi, Chromium-based Edge, Brave, and Chromium. Check in Opera Developer and Opera Beta from https://www.opera.com/download too.

For the user agent, install https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-switcher-5/ and set it to "Chrome for Windows" for the site. But, edit the "Chrome for Windows" string so that it's Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/83.0.4103.61 Safari/537.36. Try that in Opera Beta and Opera Developer too if needed.

Goto the URL opera://settings/system, disable hardware acceleration and restart Opera to see if that does anything. If not, turn it back on. Then, try just disabling opera://flags/#disable-accelerated-video-decode. Then, play with the opera://flags/#use-angle and opera://flags/#ignore-gpu-blacklist flags.
