@EbonCandle Wrong image? That one has nothing to do with lots of tabs opened.
If you don't know what are those tabs or from where they came, disable all extensions and check your system for malware.

@leocg most of the pages were: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/
and some of them were micosoft support page. i have disabled some of mine extensions. here's the screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/ZOaGG0h.png
there's no problem now. i can use opera. but i cannot say certainly. -

@EbonCandle said in opera opens thousands of tabs:
most of the pages were: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/
That is the page that Opers shows after an update to a new version. Maybe something went wrong during the update?

@leocg i have got the same problem again just now. here's the screenshot https://i.imgur.com/8NyyXfJ.png
typing this on firefox.
i dont think it has to do anything with extensions.
i think i have to do the recovery option (reset to default state)
this will be my last attempt. -

@EbonCandle You do it outside of Opera and with it closed. Just rename the current profile directory.

@leocg I have Uninstalled opera after system freeze. I have a cheap laptop BTW ¬ ¬ In-fact I have 4 different browsers installed so no problem. I will try the -"profile directory" if I get time. Anyways, thanks for your time.

It remembers me when in speeddials you have a bundle of links packed into one folder.
If you happen to do right button and accidentally select 'Open all in new tabs', it will trigger all the links as you cant't but stare the fireworks.
