Opera history saving limitations... Can the library be allowed to keep expanding?

Using version 12.16. As I've mentioned here before, I use my Opera history as part of my library and have noticed that web-pages that I've visited are disappearing from my history from older visits on up. If with "Remember visited addresses from history and autocompletion" I choose 0 on addresses will that take the cap off? If with memory cache and disk cache I choose off will that take the cap off?

@leeocg: I already have. "Remember visited addresses from history and autocompletion" is set at 50000 addresses. Memory cache is set at automatic and disk cache cache is set at 400 MB.

@leeocg: Thanks, it wouldn't let me set "Remember visited addresses from history and autocompletion" past 50000 addresses but it let me set the disk cache at 999 MB. I don't know if I can do anything with the memory cache or if/how it would help. Wish there weren't caps.

@leeocg: Thats what I went to, raised the number much higher, clicked save, then restarted Opera but it remained at 50000. I raised the set disk cache much higher than 999 MB too but that's where it capped.

Well then that must be it's limit. You could ask for the cap to be removed or at least raised in a future version by putting a request in the 'Suggestion box' part of the forum.

Well, as said there must be a limit. Try also increase "Max Direct History Lines" if you haven't done it yet.

@leeocg: I went to "Max Direct History Lines" and it said 400, I was able to raise it to 999 but I would raise it higher if I could. Some confusion... what is "Max Direct History Lines" and how's it different from "Remember visited addresses from history and autocompletion?"
