Opera was not syncing

Opera was not syncing -the browser was restarting when I tried to sync ..so I reset password .but later when I logged in whatever bookmarks ,speed dials ,passwords I had saved from past 10 years have been deleted ..I mean Im not understanding how this happened..all data from last 10 years gone. is there a way to get back ?
