Turning Opera add blocker on or off does nothing

win 10,Opera browser, Mostly on Travel Trivia I get a half page white-out with advertisement, in small letters, at the bottom. There is no picture and it blocks the page. Turning Opera add blocker on or off does nothing

Ad blockers can only block so much. They aren't really smart, they recognize certain servers and block content from them. If anything, disabling the ad blocker would show something on the rest of your "white-out".
