shield icon is missing

I'm using Opera Version:67.0.3575.115 on a Windows 10 computer. The shield icon that should appear at the right of the address bar is no longer there. Was this icon intentionally removed, or is this a bug? If it was intentionally removed, is there an alternative way to control the blocking of popups?

@pmfeldman Is adblocker enabled? The icon is missing on any site or just specific ones? I can see the icon here.
