Since Opera 66 Chrome extension TransOver doesn't work, but on last version of Google Chrome (80.0.3987.122) and Opera < 66 all work fine.
TransOver

https://github.com/artemave/translate_onhoverIf Opera and Chrome based and working on one engine, why this extension don't work normal on current version of your browser?

@Eugene-zZz Just because two browsers use the same engine doesn't mean that an extension made for one will work in the other. There are other factors involved.

Hi, @leocg!
How to fix it?
What should do, that extension again work well in Opera?
I want to forward your instructions to author of TransOver and so that he make edits in the source code. Thanks in advance.

Confirmed. After the extension is installed and you focus the page, there's an error for the extension.
Uncaught Error: Extension context invalidated. contentscript.js:1 (anonymous function)
But, that's very vague.

I can also confirm that the extension works fine in the last Opera 65.0.3467.78 build at least. There's a
Unchecked runtime.lastError: Cannot determine language
error for the extension, but it still works. -

@Eugene-zZz Unless someone with access to the bug tracking system post it here, you can't since Opera's BTS is not public.

Okay, but what then needs to be done in the end:
- fix chrome extension for Opera, but how it to do with undefined error?
Uncaught Error: Extension context invalidated. contentscript.js:1 (anonymous function)
- or to wait, when Opera Devs fix some kind bug DNAWIZ-80573, but when they fix it?

Opera needs to fix it on their end. It's a bug in Opera, not the extension.
when they fix it
Not sure yet. The issue is still being investigated. If there are any updates, I'll comment.

Please test in https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2020/04/opera-69-0-3660-0-developer-update/ to see if this is fixed for you. It has "DNA-85347 chrome.tabs.detectLanguage() doesn’t work" in its changelog, which is supposed to fix this issue.
In my testing, the extension is now working in that build of Opera.
