Opera cannot connect to website but Chrome can

hey,
I am using opera 12.17.
When I try and access one specific site, I get the message: "could not connect to remote server"
If I try and access the page through Chrome, it works just fine.
I have nothing set under proxy, and I haven't blocked the site.
I've tried deleting cache and everything, but nothing is working.
Any one have an idea as to what the problem could be?

An ad blocker, browser sniffing ... lots of possibilities. If you tell us the URL, we could see if it works for us (and hence is something on your end, like an ad blocker) or if we can't access it either.
