[Solved]Why can't I change Instant Search provider?

Documentation says if I change default search provider it will become the default for instant search? I don't want Google in my browser search anywhere so how do I get rid of it? Every new tab still has the G and search box even though the Instant Search is Unchecked in the preferences (and closing and reopening Opera). It looks to me that it is hard coded into Opera and sorry but if I cannot remove Google it's getting removed from my system. Thanks in advance for any help here.

@jdanham You can't change because Opera doesn't allow you to do that.

@jdanham Instant Search and the start page search are two different things. The search field in start page can be hidden in settings page.
