@sgunhouse Other browsers have the option to change the default search engine, Opera doesn't have this feature

The default search engine can be any of the pre-installed search engines - but you can't change the search engine used in Speed Dial or in Instant Search - the so-called default applies only to the address bar, the search field (if enabled) and to the right-click or double-click menu. Opera has previously said the reason they don't allow just any search engine as default is to block those malware that replace your search engine with one of their own (such as a porn search), though that doesn't explain speed dial and instant search.
