Opera does not allow to change the download folder (Android TV)

I'm using Opera on Android TV Box (Android 7.1.2) and when I download a file and try to change the download folder to an external SD Card it doesn't allow me. It is always kept in the Download folder of the Internal Storage. This only happens to me on that device.
I know that Android TV lacks Storage Access Framework (SAF) and that in recent Android versions access to external storage by apps is limited and only allowed in its own data folder. But I have checked that other browsers (Chrome, Samsung and Vivaldi) at least allow downloading files in their data folders located on the external SD Card. This is a great help when we have small internal storage available but Opera is the only browser that does not allow it.

Hi. Neither from the settings nor from the download box.

@avmon Just remembering that Opera is not exactly developed for Android TV.
I don't think Samsung Internet and Vivaldi are developed for Android TV but they allow us to choose external storage for downloads. I think it is not something difficult to implement since it is only to enable Opera's own data folder in external storage as many apps do to allow its use.

Then you may need to find a way to create Symbolic links on Android.
Mixplorer has an option but never made it work, you could look at it at XDADevelopers.

@zalex108 Thank you. I have tried to manually make in SD card the folder com.opera.browser in Android/data/ as the one that exists in the Internal Storage but still does not let me change the place for the downloads. I did this with a text editor app and let me save files to the SD card but it seems that it doesn't work with Opera.
