When I go to Opera's Blog page to check the details of the latest release , down the right side is a pane that says "Get Opera For Windows", in yet I'm already using it to view the blog. Hovering over the download button indicates an Opera address in status bar. Also whilst looking at my UK Ebay activity, although everything looked normal on the summary page, down the lleft side was recently viewed items, none of which I have looked at ! Looking at them more closely but not clicking on any of the links showed the items appeared to be listed in German ! I'm hoping all this is not malicious and just how I have my Opera set up.I may need to do a reset..

Your account might be compromised. I'm not sure about the ad in the bottom right, but if your ebay account's history contains items you have not viewed, I suggest changing your password and enabling two step verification. Also try translating the page using a google translate extension. If opera states that you live in Germany then I suggest you change your passwords linked to your opera account. I think you should try using a different password for every account and writing it down in real life. I'm sorry about your problem, I hope this reply helps you!

I think the Ebay incident was a problem there end and I do not think my account has been compromised. I use different user names AND passwords for all my accounts. It's sometimes difficult to think up new ones. I do have a written list of all my accounts and passwords which is kept somewhere secure. The machinee I use to write and print the list has never been connected to the internet, so I think I am safe there.
