[Solved]Can't view pdf

I can no longer view pdfs in the browser.
I can change settings to download pdfs then view as normal with Adobe.
I cannot view pdfs without downloading.
The problem may have arisen at last Opera version update as this never used to be a problem. -

Further info -
this is a desktop pc running Windows 10.
Clicking a pdf on a webpage - pdf view opens but with blank (grey) page, no document. -

@leocg Not knowingly.
If I change settings to always download pdf then I can open downloaded file with Adobe.
If I change settings back to 'do not download' then I cannot open the pdf within the browser.
As I say, I think it stopped working at last Opera version update.
Opera is my default browser.I have just opened a pdf in MS Edge browser, no problems.
However, I dislike Edge and prefer to use Opera. -

@russc I've just uninstalled & re-installed Opera.
No difference, same problem. -

What? Disable extensions?
I have not installed any extensions.
I'm not using any extensions! -

OK, Don't know what made me try this but -
Browse in 'private window' - opens pdfs perfectly.
Browse in normal window - no go.That should narrow down the possibilities!

Thanks.
Deleting 'opera stable' fixed it.
I then renamed 'bookmarks' to bookmarks new' just in case.
Dragged old 'bookmarks' back in & everything still works.Now all I need is an extension to restore old Opera bookmarks function.
It is just too annoying when 'full bookmarks' don't show in first screen after clicking 'heart'. -

After 2 days searching found 'Experiments, Flags, bookmarks panel, disable'.
This has restored my bookmark functionality to how it was before last version update.
Super.
Will this change 'compromise my security'?
