Can't identify current tab and ditched pinned tabs

I cannot see which tab i'm working in, and I keep closing the wrong one, and the other thing is that it ditched all four of my pinned tabs I had saved for a project I was working on. I depended on the browser, and now I can't remember what they were. Grrrr. I wish, with as great as they made this browser--they could at least have the dark tabs be light grey and the light ones be darker. I use the dark, and I love it--just can't find my current tab very easy.
