It was removed because of changes for the redesigned address bar. But, it might come back.

I tried to see what the quick access panel was like since I couldn't remember. I couldn't get it working in Opera 64, 63 and 62. I tried Opera 58 and it's working there. Was it actually working in Opera 64 for you and now just not in Opera 65?

Aw man. I was really fond of that and using it all the time. 😞

You tried it in portable versions?
There were some glitches in portable versions regarding the QuckAccess (sometimes work, sometimes not). And, of course, reborn3 dropdown should be disabled too in flags (in the installed versions too), it relates the versions until 65. In 65 and later even the flag (better-address-bar) was removed and it's impossible to get it working.

                  Yes, with fresh profiles.

reborn3 dropdown should be disabled too in flags

The 63 build I tested in was 63.0.3368.107. The flag is disabled by default, but I also tried explicitly setting it to false. No difference. Quick Access feature doesn't actually show. Playing with the better address bar flag made no difference also.

There were some glitches in portable versions regarding the QuckAccess (sometimes work, sometimes not).

                  OK. Thanks.

@burnout426 On a fresh profile in Opera 62 (63), this function did not work right away. You can try replacing in the Preferences file "better_address_bar" -> "default_source" = 1

@johnd78 Good to know. That does the trick.

@thegeneral one of the most useful Opera's feature was Quick Access Panel. It should come back.
