opera not downloading files makes .opdownload

does anyone else have that their downloads claim to be completed but actually only make the opdownload file, which is sort of deleted and invisible ?
eg to download sample.pdf it makes sample.pdf.opdownload

I will do some restarts and see if it helps but just in case it's an opera issue I wanted to raise it. -
