The new looks?

As well as the various missing elements mentioned by others above, I now have to refresh the page to see what I've just posted. Hopefully this is just temporary... otherwise, the site code is slowly disintegrating with some of the site's electrons no longer spinning.

The need for refresh was over in the Windows forum... here, my post appeared auto-magically as soon as I posted it. However, there is no longer any visible mechanism for editing posts in either place... sigh!

You're wrong, Bird. Not exactly.
The bug is sporadic - myself has been checking it for the last few days. It's sporadic - never gone. -

The number of posts is gone too, as you mentioned in the wrong thread ...
This has been restored.

But posts still don't show until you reload.
Yeah, we're having a bit of trouble with this, unfortunately.

Right...
Look, it seems that I can hover something beneath the avatar (the buttons) - they kinda work, but they are nevertherless invisible. -

It works for me in updated versions of Opera, Chrome, Safari and Firefox (on Mac), so i do suggest you use an updated browser. If you're on Linux you could try the Opera Developer version for Linux.

It also now works OK in Firefox 29 on Windows. In fact, things are pretty much back to 'normal', apart from the momentary pop-up of an "error" box (as I described earlier in this thread)... and that now goes away automatically after a few seconds and the page auto-refreshes. This makes me suspect the "error" box has to do with that refresh process, perhaps something peculiar in FF. The neat thing now is that I can edit/re-edit posts without having to refresh the page each time... for that, many thanks!

In my Firefox 3.6 they have a sorta ghost "appearance": they are their, but the only way I can "see" them is via hovering.
And the editing area cuts lines - I'm sorta blind typing most of the time... -

The quote and 'Edit, Delete, Flag' menu icons are very faint for me too in Opera 12.14, which makes it very difficult to see them. The new Opera Developer for Linux does not work on the version of Linux I have installed and use, which is Linux Mint 17 32bit.
< they are their
they are there,

There they are.
But the quoting doesn't work in my Ff 3.6.6. Though it's not actually pertinent to "the new looks":left: -

Right. A mistake.
They are there. But invisible.
The up and down vote buttons are invisible in my Firefox too. -

Submission ain't here again...
About that mistake. It's not exactly easy to control your typing when I can barely see WHAT I'm actually typing:rip:
