[Solved]Twitter constantly refreshing page.

Hello.
I foolishly upgraded to the latest version of Opera (64.0.3417.73). Since then I have spent 2 days trying to sort out problems. Immediately after the upgrade, I lost all my speed dials, my ADBlock disappeared, my side bar got messed up etc etc.
I have one problem which I cannot solve. Twitter is constantly refreshing the page. When I say constantly, it's a flickering refresh over and over and you can't stop it other than to close the page.
I've run Malware Bytes, I've run SpyBot, I've cleaned the registry (several times), I cleared the browser cache (several times) but it still occurs and I'm out of ideas.
This constant refreshing doesn't occur if I use any other browser - Mozilla, IE, Chrome etc - just Opera

@leocg Hello - thanks for replying.
I removed all the extensions and it had no effect - till the same problem.
I understand creating a new profile is rather complex, so instead I installed a 2nd version of Opera (installation path of /Opera2) and again it does the same thing. If I have done that wrong please can you let me know the correct procedure.
Thanks.

Thank you for your help so far.
Where is the profile? Can you give me a clue? I've searched and it's not obvious to me. Sorry, Windows 8.1 by the way. Thanks in advance.

@leocg Thanks for the clue.
Renamed the profile and run up Opera again - that created the new profile just as you said it would. Noted that all login's and passwords had gone - could be awkward! However...
Logged into Twitter again and it's exactly the same. Twitter screen constantly refreshing.

@leocg The page is constantly reloading (flashing screen). You can't read it due to the rate of reloading. It's so fast you don't have a idea as to what it's trying to load. If left Twitter eventually shuts you down with some message saying you are flooding and to try again later.

The exact message says "Sorry, you're rate limited. Please wait a few moments then try again."

@leocg That is what is so annoying. It only started when I upgraded to the latest version. Can I go back to the previous version of Opera but keep all the settings?

When I say settings, I mean keep the stored passwords really. I need those!

@gren
@leocg Just install the old version. Don't forget to block auto update.
Look at the FAQ.

Now there's a thing.
I was having problems on version 64.0.3417.73 and had given up on Opera completely and uninstalled it.
However I didn't feel very comfortable using either Chrome or Firefox so after 5 days of using them I downloaded Opera again and found it was version 64.0.3417.83
The problem has gone. It now works perfectly.
Weird.
