Hi all, after upgrading opera to current release the vmware client integration plugin stopped working. Any suggestion to make it work again?
Thanks -

I see on https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2145066 that they call it a plug-in. The download is an exe. I didn't install it, but I extracted it with 7-zip and then searched the files to see if there was a manifest.json in there anywhere, but didn't find anything. So, I don't know if that package installs a browser extension or not. Also, there an exe for Chrome and one for other browsers.

@leocg said in VMware client integration plugin:
@D4E Plug-in or extension? Opera, like almost all modern browsers, doesn't support plugins anymore.
Don't think it's an extension, shift+ctrl+e doesn't show. VMware says it's a plugin. I can understand that all modern browsers don't support plugins anymore, but on the other side i don't think VMware is that n00b to release something regarding SSO and Smart Card that's unsupported by the majority of modern browsers, expecially for one of their last release
So i think there's an issue with that.....all other modern browsers work. Nobody got the same issue? -

Do you know if it places files in Opera's program files directory or something? Does it show up in Chrome under
chrome://components/

Solved, it's a lame issue with self signed certificate. FYI you must browse https://vmware-plugin:8094 (during installazione your hosts file gets it) and get Advanced and then Proceed.
OR
You must be sure service VMware Cip Message Proxy Server is REALLY runningThanks for the help guys
