Where is the Password Manager Icon

I have been using Opera browsers for years now and last week I got a newer computer. After installing Opera (version 22.0.1471.70) for OSX Mavericks, I've noticed there is no more password icon for my saved passwords. There used to be this icon that looks like a KEY. Now I cannot find it.
Tried going into Preferences but there's no option for it. What's happening? How can I make that icon show so that whenever I log in to sites, I don't have to go to View and Show Password Manager, then Copy and Paste. That's totally cumbersome.
After the Heartbleed event, I had been using long random passwords for different sites Now Opera has gone so cumbersome. Please help. Thanks.

Opera 15+ has no icon. On most sites it will just fill the fields in for you so all you have to do is click Submit or Login or whatever the button says. On some sites it seems to require that you actually start typing the ID before you can choose it from a dropdown - seems to be on the more secure sites, but haven't figured out how it decides what is "more secure".

Thank you for the reply, sgun. This is an unfortunate omitance of such a nice feature and usability experience, IMHO. How I wish Opera would at least add a preference tick box for this feature in an update even if they'll prefer to leave this unticked as default if they deem fit.
Now for some strange reason, after I enrolled in an Adobe Online Course where I used my Gmail, the password field of my Gmail has been clear even though I had Password Manager saved my pw in the past. Sigh.
