Backing up and exporting Opera history

Is there a way that I can export and backup my history on Opera?

@mikaelaarsenault You can save the History file.

@leocg Can't you just tell us how? I have no clue where do you think it's located but I don't see it in "help page" nor it shows when you search THRU help page. (did 'research' even on some older replies you had and where u left links,they lead to non-existing pages)

Goto the URL opera://about and take note of the "profile" path. Close Opera and go there in Windows Explorer. Select both the "History" and "History-journal" files, right-click the selection, choose "copy" and then paste to somewhere safe.

Any time you need to restore, you can try to overwrite the existing ones with copies of your backup (while Opera is closed).

I appriciate it but I want to import it into Chrome because sync on Opera is broken for me in a way. Had issues before,lost all my settings,wanna have a "safe" restore somewhere else (chrome is most reliable)

I don't think there's a way to merge it into Chrome. But, you could replace Chrome's History and History-Journal files with Opera's and it will probably work.
