With the latest version of Opera all of the sidebars appear to have been combined into one with the problem that the sidebar is too wide. You used to be able to reduce the width when you had a small screen so that it didn't take up too much room but now it has a minimum width which is takes up too much room on the screen. Can this be fixed?

In the latest version of Opera (66), every time I press ctrl + shift + s to open the sidebard with V7 Bookmarks, the browser crashed, or does nothing.
It happens on both Windows 10 / Xubuntu 18.04.

@caraboy2001 The following flag has to be Disabled for extension sidebar to work with keyboard shortcut:
opera://flags/#sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar -

In the latest version of Opera as of writing this (Opera 66.0.3515.36), I can no longer reduce the addon's width all the way to the left (bring it as close to the sidebar as possible). It can only increase in size to the right. Is this a problem with the new opera version or is it because of a change in the addon itself?
OS: Windows 10

@mazanostra Try the solution by @vegelund above, it worked for me!
The following flag has to be Disabled for extension sidebar to work with keyboard shortcut:
opera://flags/#sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebarIt separates the extension sidebar from the browser side bar thus allowing you to reduce the width of the extension sidebar.

In Opera 66 the theme of your extension inherits the Opera theme. I use a dark theme for Opera and now I cannot read the text of the Bookmarks anymore. (Same for Notes). Changing the theme in the extension doesn't change the background of the list.

@rivanni69-0 As temporary measure try the fix by @vegelund in a previous post.

I have 2 issues. When in dark mode, I cannot see the text of the bookmarks. Also using R7 bookmarks in Opera I used to be able to keep the bookmark bar on the left of screen open. Now when I press the bookmark icon, it hides part of my browsing screen and when I click on the site I went to the bookmarks minimizes.

@linknetrvh: Could you step this to a solution, please?

@whiskybreath quote "Could you step this to a solution, please?"
I have no involvement in the development of either V7 Bookmarks or Opera.
You need to direct your comments to either the Opera developers who are responsible for this latest version change which has caused the problems or to the V7 Bookmarks developer who is basically offering a free piece of software and is probably as frustrated as everyone else by the current changes to Opera.

@linknetrvh My apologies, I thought I was directing my bile and anger at the people who 'upgraded' the piece of software without my knowledge or consent; my remarks above are what happens when the supplier of a product changes - and not in a good way - the actions of the product on what seems to be a whim.
Again, apologies. -

@whiskybreath No problem, it's Opera that keeps on changing with it's automatic updates which can't easily be turned off!!!

I have my V7 bookmarks arranged in folders and sub-folders. When I open a folder, often all the sub-folders are fully expanded, which can be very frustrating when there are many sub-folders. I have treid 'Collapse all' on the main menu, which collapses the main folders, but when a folder is opened, all the sub-folders are still fully expanded.
Is there any way round this? -

@conroyphilip: Re: your second query - try clicking the 'pin' icon at the top right corner of the bookmark bar - this solved the problem for me.

Not sure what exactly changed yesterday but I'm running into weird issues with the add-on:
- The panel keep hiding (it used to be "glued" to one of the sides but now I constantly have to open it each time I want to find a bookmark).
- The size of the panel has changed - up until yesterday I was able to resize it making it smaller, but no more.
