It seems it stopped working properly in Opera 97.
Opera 96 - ok
Opera Beta 97 - doesn't properly recognise some sites, i.e. on some it indicates a stored identity, on other it doesn't. -

@przemod, easydawg and all who posted on my issue, having fiddled around the edges, I found it in Opera but it wasn't quite right - sometimes it was slow, for instance - so I decided there was nothing to do but be a bit brutal, so I uninstalled Bitwarden (having tried to re install it in opera and windows), then uninstalled Opera, restarted my laptop, re-installed Opera into Opera and Bitwarden also - everything seems fine (though I'm still tweaking Opera).
Thanks to everyone who took an interest in my problem.

@przemod: I experience the same - some sites stopped being recognized, even if I add them manually

Since Opera 97, the Manager has stopped working.
It does not fill in the Accounts and Passwords. -

With the new version, there is a conflict, there is some slowness in the Dropdown Menu List of some websites, when I deactivate the Bitwarden extension, everything works correctly.

Yeah Opera is so overloaded with settings and options and such a resource hog I uninstalled it which was sad. Trying to definitely get away from Chrome but also FF as it's kind of a resource hog but still using it and Vivaldi.

Either Bitwarden or Opera fixed it, and it works as expected in Opera 97 now.

Not many options left then as it's either Firefox and its forks or Chromium-based browsers or Safari!
The fact is they all use a lot of memory, to some extent by design. If you have sufficient memory on your device it doesn't matter. I've tried a variety of browsrs over the years and have several installed and tbh I've never worried a bout them being "resource hogs."
