      I am Windows 10 (64 bit) Build 1902.
With program updates I generally like to download and save the update file to another device e.g USB.
I do this so that if my Laptop crashes I can reinstall programs from my backup device rather than individually going to all the websites and having to download.
I always like to have the latest version.
Until recently I mainly used filehippo.com as a source for availability of updates.
Lately filehippo seems to have gone awry in many cases. e.g it will quote a new update version e.g xxxx.193 available but when one clicks on that header to download the update file it shows an older (and most likely already installed ) version e.g xxxx.174

I have Opera v 60.0.3255..170 installed but I had to do that by direct update from the Opera Site which directly only installs it on my hard drive.

Is there a way to download and save the updated version to another device for backup purposes.?

There is a link for an "offline installer" on the website, or you can download it directly.

See the "Download offline package" links below each download on https://www.opera.com/download to get the full offline installer. You can get them at https://ftp.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/ too. Just make sure you're looking at the correct one. 60.0.3255.170 for example is newer than 60.0.3255.95 (170 is higher than 90), but 60.0.3255.170 isn't at the bottom of the page due to how the links are sorted. Looking at the date helps too.

I wouldn't trust any Opera downloads but the official ones anyway.

            Many thanks for your guidance.
I have used the technique successfully
