Opera 15 is a DISASTER

Oh, dear. Guilty as charged, scratchspace. I guess I was too upset with what Opera ASA has done with v15 in both the Windows and Android versions.
Ooops. Maybe I shouldn't have said that. It'll probably set leushino off again.
(And yes, I did find a way to get back to Android v12.10. It wasn't hard once I started looking.)

Indeed. Shift the focus onto me rather than admit to your being a hypocrite. I've big shoulders. BTW... your  smiley is very appropriate under the circumstances.

Wellllll... it was a confession of sorts (sort of a "Yeah I was guilty but look at so-and-so"). However, you're quite right. I AM guilty as charged. I'm going to take seriously the injunction regarding - "judge not, lest I be judged" I guess. Okay. Time to push away from the computer and watch some Netflix. There's always tomorrow to be a better person, eh?!

Your language is unacceptable here.
Just install any previous version that you prefer.

Why i canot put bookmarks in stash instead? -i have to open the pages one at the time, and mark them to have a list in "stash",if i want a list!
I will use firefox i gues...good job!
And ofcourse i am talking about opera 17 here,not 15. -

Took me one hour to open each page and mark it to stash...and is not even in alphabetical order or something...

It takes only 5 minutes to install a previous version. Why are you wasting your time? You could use the Quick Access Bar if you must use Opera 17.

Good stuff, Spartaa! Not sure why so many believe they are being "forced" to update when the older versions are still available and receiving security updates.
Because I don't know for you but everything for win7 64bit display very slow, crash if you have 3 tabs on youtube (not playing), crash on facebook, I mean it's just constantly crashing. Get older, newer release, no difference. OTOH Opera "chromium" is stable and fast like opera once was (in my XP, 32 bits day) although indeed retarded in terme of customisation to a point it's embarrassing.
Opera team really has been delusionnal. Opera's user as, by nature, people demanding with their browser. Making a new version that change the behaviour of many thing for no improvement on the long run use, break the signature speed dial feature (refresh every 30 min... Nah, just kidding) and... I hardly can believe what I am typing... don't handle bookmarks... I mean, what were they thinking ? This is not Opera 15 (or 18). Opera 5, maybe ?

It handles my bookmarks quite nicely on the QAB. I have folders set up and my bookmarks are nested within. Look, if you don't like Opera 18, use an older version (i.e. v 12.16). Security patches are still being written so you should be perfectly fine. What is your problem?

Opera-team! Please ask your developer from the early 2008 for the basic idea of mobile browsing and than create something for USERS.
You are analysing a large amount of user data without taking in consideration of 'WHO is using' and 'HOW they are using'.
And this is the result in new Opera mobile.
Please ask a professional Designer what are the easy moves with the hand, tactile sense, and many other..., before ending in tendovaginitis.I don't prefer answers like: "...you can use lower versions" or "... than use Firefox or Chrom"...
This are answers of people which are 'cooking only their own soup ' .Thanks for your understanding!
(I'am using Opera mobile since V. 8 on Win mobile)

How do YOU know the methods by which Opera is analyzing its user base data? Do you work for Opera and therefore have information that the rest of us don't OR are you simply having a nice little rant this morning?

Since v 12.16 that I keep Opera as a secondary browser, and time to time I give a try to the current version. Next day I move it to the trash bin. Several years of intense Opera usage until v 12, led me to have feelings about it... well, had. The 1st disappointment came before that when I bought a then brand new WP7 phone and discovered that Opera had no plans to support a WP version. Before that I had Symbian with the appropriate Opera version that synced perfectly with my desktop Opera browser.
Nowadays, consistent with the "smart" advice above - love it or leave it - I no longer use Opera.
However, as I am curious, I would like to see credible stats with data of Opera users numbers and satisfaction over time. -

Currently I'm using Opera 12 and Maxton which I like a lot but for those who are waiting for Opera 15+ (it will probably be Opera 143 if it survive so long) with customisation options like v12 go for Avant browser. It is kind of "shell" for IE, Chrome and FF, but highly customisable. You can make Chrome (real Chrome not Opera-Chrome clone) looks much, much like Ov12, with menu bar, movable tab-bar, integrated ad-block and tones of settings of every kind. Basically thats just what Opera DevTeam is trying to do with no success.

It doesn't look like the new version(s) are improving Opera, so I'm still using v12.16. But it's breaking on more and more pages. It hasn't been able to deal with Facebook for months, and now it can't handle the settings interface in my router.
So, Opera -- you're no longer my default browser. Firefox has taken over that job. No, it doesn't have all of the customization features that I came to love in Opera, but it has handled every page I've thrown at it without difficulty.

"Opera 15? It is a complete and total castration of EVERYTHING that made Opera a wonderful browser. I was looking forward to the use of a compatible rendering engine...but NOT AT THE COST OF EVERYTHING ELSE!!! What in the world is this??"
I don't often comment on forums, but this is completely right. The new Opera is pretty much a reskin of Google chrome. If I wanted a Chrome, I'd install one. Particularly debilitating is the absence of a side panel, which is a hallmark of Opera among all browsers, but alongside it are missing many other features. Maybe some of them are possible to be fixed, but it would take effort.
I personally will stick with Opera 12 as long as possible. If in due time all the features are not equivalent (Sidepanel, Private browsing mixed with non private browsing, dual fields for address and search, password button, etc) I will switch to Chrome. Why? Not to support a company that is clearly killing it's own product. Alongside it's services.

I'm totally agree with you, for the first time since I started use Opera 8 years ago, I'm now thinking for another browser very disappointing.

would opera consider splitting development of opera into webkit and presto? i love all the features that opera 12 had. opera 15 to 18 are completely useless to me. i can't even sign in to 18 to use opera link.
