Sidebar on Startpage gone

On the newest update, if you disable the sidebar, its not only gone on the browserpage, but also on the startpage.
Any reason why?
I liked having access to bookmarks and history through the sidebar on the startpage.

Somewhat late to the party, huh? There's at least one thread in Feature requests asking to bring it back - you should add your support.
