[Solved]Private window vs disabled extensions

Lately when I try to log in to my bank I get "Error 405: HTTP method GET is not supported by this URL"

If I disable all extensions I still get the error, but if I open a Private Window with Ctrl-Shft-N I can log in normally. What accounts for this difference? I thought the private window used no extensions and cleared browsing data when the window was closed. If so, it seems like a private window and a browser with all extensions disabled should behave the same until the window is closed. What am I missing?

Cookies, site data, a broken profile, etc may be causing the problem.
