Skype for Web

  • This is further to reports such as: https://www.ghacks.net/2019/03/08/the-new-skype-for-web-does-not-work-in-firefox-or-opera/

Opera currently doesn't work with the new Skype for Web (SfW), even when changing the User Agent to a recent Chrome agent string. While I understand this is mostly Microsoft's problem and not Opera's, I am intrigued by why SfW does not work on the latest Opera (after changing the UA). Are there any missing components which do exist in Chrome but not Opera? Any APIs which are disabled? I was under the impression that, with Opera being based on Chromium, making SfW work should be a piece of cake.

Does any of the devs know why this is so?

    Thanks in advance.
