Delete unwanted items

how do i delete all the news options on my home page as well as all the search engines under manage my search engines. it seems to pick what it feels like although i have selected which search engine i want. if i cant delete these things this is the wrong browser for me.

And what does this have to do with the forums? You posted in "Forum feedback", there is no news on the forum's homepage.

What version of Opera, and on what type of system?
