So I go to a website and t asks for an email address and when I click on the field to fill it in I get a little pop down menu to use which account information I want to select. But there is an email address there and I don't have a clue who owns it. Or how it got there. So how do I get rid of this autoform fill in email? Best I can describe it.

What happens if you deactivate Opera's autofill function [opera://settings/autofill]?

It would be possible that this unknown e-mail address does not come from Opera's history lists, but is suggested by the web page in that pop down menu, for whatever reason.

For verification, you could first search the source code of the website (Ctrl+U) for this email address.

If it is a login field, try the passwords manager. If it's just a regula field for you to type an email address, try removing it by clicking on the X.

            As suggested:

In Opera, goto the URL opera://settings/autofill. Look through the entries in there. Same thing with opera://settings/passwords.

Thanks for the replies. But none of the suggestions seem to work it doesn't seem to be listed in either autofill or passwords. Ctrl+U or checking the source code reveals nothing either. It seems to happen only on one site so far so the problem might actually be a site issue. Again thanks for the replies.

Do other web browsers also show this unknown email address on the web page?

And can't you remove it from the list?

I was just trying to remove this one address but I couldn't until I decided to erase the history completely. I went to opera menu, then history, then Clear browsing data and decided to check everything and give the system a good cleaning out. I'm still curious where it came from. Again thanks for the replies.
