Block websites?

I have a website that is evading my anti virus software and opening whenever I start Opera. It has a pop-up link to install Chrome. I have searched for a way to block the offender from my computer; and I can't find one. Am I missing something in settings that would accomplish this.

Not exactly. While Opera has the back-end for it, they haven't included an interface. You'd need to add an extension to be able to set it.
But you can't even use a hosts file to block it?
Oh, moved to Opera for Windows (tentatively, as you didn't mention platform), as it has nothing to do with the website.
