i am trying to stop ad block from running because i am trying to access a website that blocks ad block. But changing the setting for ad block and reloading the page does not work.

Talk to them. Many sites see Opera and immediately see "ad blocker". Alternatively, install a user agent switcher to make them think you are using regular Chrome.
