How to restore bookmarks before the Opera was updated

Good day! I have next question - some time I collected bookmarks in Opera. Then Opera was reinstalled and I lost my bookmarks. Then I added new bookmarks. Can I restore previous pack of bookmarks? I found that I can rename bookmarks.bak, but this didn't help, I got my new bookmarks. I see files bookmarks.db and bookmarks.db-journal. Can I use this files? Are all bookmarks from one machine saved anywhere?

Bookmarks are saved in a file called Bookmarks, located in Opera's profile directory.

Do a backup by exporting your favorites to a html file, then if problem occurs, re-import them.
