so i reboot my comp and i forgot my opera pw, i reset it with my phone to sync my browser and my other site pws but when i reset my account pw now it says there is information in old pw. It says i have to write my old pw to collect my other sync materials, seriousl?!? then when did i reset my pw with my phone what's the meaning of pw reset if i couldnt be able to collect my all data? i dont know my old pw but i need my site pw's like facebook, twitter etc.

By default your passwords are stored encrypted in the sync server and since the encryption uses your account password, Opera needs it to decrypt the data and show you the info.
And, as your passwords were encrypted using your old password, you need to provide it to get them.

I have the same problem...
At first You enforce 12 chars password (!!!!) and now I reset pswd and what? I can't restore my 1394 passwords...
I have to remeber 12 chars password because Opera must have at least 12 chars... Who remeber thats long pass?You have to think about it.
Master password have to be user password not forced from Opera.Disappointment - all I have from Opera.

The length of your account password has nothing to do with you be able to access your saved passwords or not.
Like I said, Opera encrypts your saved passwords locally using your OS password and on sync using your Opera password. So if you forget your account password, you can't get your saved passwords from sync.The minimum length of 12 characters is to increase the security of the user data. All serious sites nowadays ask for at least a 8 character password and sooner or later that number will increase to provide more security.
Most specialists recommend that you use a password as long as possible, with numbers, letters and special characters in it.
