Opera Mini and Yahoo url

I recently installed Opera Mini on an Apache HTC (Pocket PC) The app seems to run quite nicely but I am having difficulty getting to the regular Yahoo site. Any other site I have tried is fine but no matter what I do when trying to go to the standard Yahoo site, I get the "norse" version of yahoo, i.e., m.yahoo.com. I have tried "yahoo.com", "www.yahoo.com", "us.yahoo.com" (all of which took me to the regular Yahoo site on my laptop), but each entry reverts to m.yahoo.com.
Any thoughts?
EDIT: the above is slightly misleading. I believe that most web sites have a mobile "version" which is normally preceded by "m" and that is the logical version a mobile device should seek out and load. The problem I am having is that somehow the mobile version I encounter is the "norse" version

Yahoo! has been malfunctioning in Opera Mini since their last major update months ago. You can't use their front page unless you somehow call up the desktop version of Yahoo!'s front page.
Now if there are certain services you use, you probably will need to bookmark them directly. Like if you want Mobile Y! Mail: m.yahoo.com/mail
If there are any other Y! services you need direct links for, do post back.

Use this link
http://m.yahoo.com/w/global?.intl=us&.lang=en
then if you want different Yahoo version, eg UK&Irland scroll to the bottom of the page,
select Yahoo International and find there the version that fits you.
This link here to the U.S. version
http://m.yahoo.com/w/ygo-frontpage%3B_ylt=A2KL8xGakq5SEXwAVC8p89w4?.intl=us&.lang=en
As you can see here, it is possible in Opera Mini to display the Yahoo!Mail in a desktop view -

If you get the norse version try to open the "yahoo.com" link on the page or open yahoo as "yahoo.co.uk" instead.

then will result www.yahoo.com/?m=pc without pc tag. At that time the norse interface was the only one btw. In any case mobile v fail with 'We have detected suspicious
login activity on this account.
Please login from a desktop
computer at login.yahoo.com to regain access' and of course the second (extra security protection engaged) confirmation method (e-mail code) fail. For some reason in yahoo db my default ip should be from Poland; this protection must be safe than Fort Knox. I bet that NSA doesn't use Opera Mini. -

When using opera mini (nokia express has been retired) and trying to use yahoo webmail I get rejected because yahoo.com thinks I am located in Iceland, probably because the Opera data centre is located there. Only if I take a plane and sign in from a desktop in Iceland they will let me in. :=(
Shit app
