Sync broken on Opera Android due to new passphrase requirement

Why is Opera Android suddenly asking me for a passphrase to sync my bookmarks? It was working find before. I haven't used a passphrase in YEARS and it it suddenly asking for you. I don't remember it and there is no option to reset it anywhere that i can find.
How do I fix this without losing bookmarks? -
