Lack of support for some web accesses

Hello, I use Opera because the browser is fast and largely easy to use. However, I am having problems with the lack of support for some web accesses. For example, I have now taken a cruise ship where I was denied access to the on-board portal with Opera. Annoying as I only got access with another compatible browser. Are there for Opera extensions that solve such problems? The browser is still largely compatible with Chrome? I'm looking forward to your reply.

There are extensions known as user agent switchers which make a browser tell websites they are another browser - or on a different OS, or whatever. Some websites seem to think if your OS is listed as Linux then you're really using a mobile device.
