      when im visiting ebay and searching for something, ebay shows me the results, but then its hanging and the page never seems to stop loading.

      how can i figure out, what opera is trying to load, so i can block the element(s)?

        In the status bar, there used to be displayed what is being downloaded.

          nothing is shown. it also seems to have finished loading the page, but its still hanging, the counter is running and never stops..

            @fluse This can happen if a website is using JavaScript which makes a callout to an external JavaScript file that has the wrong format. If the page makes multiple JavaScript calls, any one of them could be at fault. Another thing that can cause it is if the page has numerous scripting calls and the DNS request time for any one of them is timing out before returning the correct IP number to the browser.

            It can also happen if the webpage has coded an auto-refresh period that is shorter than the basic page load time of the browser for that site.

            Finally, it can occur on web pages using "infinite scroll" instead of advancing to a new page at the bottom of the current page. In this case, some pages show up as constantly loading, even though you can access the material. As well, pages that continually update portions of themselves automatically can appear to do this.

            Have you tested the webpage behavior in another browser for comparison?
