How do I create a new search engine in Opera for Android

I've read that you can create a search engine by long pressing on the url bar when you're on a page you want to use as a search engine. I can't seem to get this to work. I don't see an option for creating or adding a new search engine.

You need to long press on the search field on the page you want to add.

@leocg I've tried that and all I get is a popup to paste something into the search field.
