1. Either messaging each other (PM) or, say, some chat functionality.
2. What about "buddies" (friends)? Nothing changing for now, but cheering and possibly useful in the future.

My opinion ... PMs would be useful (and existed in the old BBS-style forums 10 years ago). Friends? Not sure there's a point there. If you want that stuff, maybe Vivaldi.net would be a better choice.

Although i don't use it frequently, i think that PM may be useful sometimes.

About a friends list, i think that a block/ignore one would be more useful.
